British composer Steven Price won an Oscar for the immersive score of Gravity. Hear his music performed live.
Born in 1977, Steven Price won the Academy Award for Best Original Score for Gravity, where music replaced the silence of space with surging, enveloping sound. He also scored Baby Driver and Attack the Block, and worked on landmark soundtracks before turning to composing. Price's writing is bold, textural and cinematic. Performed live, his cosmic, slow-building scores fill a hall with weight and wonder.
